What makes a great newborn photography experience? 

Customization- 

- On-site hair and makeup lets you get dolled up for probably the first time since you had your kiddo! We are here to make you feel like a million bucks- if you want it! And of course some people prefer to do their own hair and makeup which is totally fine as well! 

• Session customization

not everyone wants the same thing, we work with you to create a vision to capture this chapter in your family’s life. We work bottom to top to ensure complete customization of your session during a presession consultation. We want to truly create artwork to display in your home or enjoy and share.

Attention to detail- 

Use props that are soft and safe—we don't want any hazards around when you're taking pictures of a tiny baby!

We love earth tones and specialize in an organic and natural style. All of our items are laundered with free & Clear detergent and sanitization occurs immediately after and before each session. 

Custom curation is a big part of attention to detail, do you have a rainbow baby? Do you want to remember a family member who has passed? Do you want to include your wedding veil in posing your kiddo or have us include an item that you use in your career (ex. bible, football, stethoscope) We are happy to do it! 

Safety-

 As postpartum doulas and newborn care specialists, not only can we give you advice on your kiddo or feeding (don’t worry only if you want it! not unsolicited)- but we also take safety extremely seriously. You can rest assured we know more than the basics about things like safe posture and positioning, positional asphyxiation and how to avoid it, aspiration, and baby soothing! (Feel free to pick our brains, nurse without a cover if you desire, or get our input on your latch, we are so happy to help if you want it!) 

With special props or positions we always use a spotter, or do a composite image where we are supporting baby and their little bodies! 

For example- Do you know that ever-popular position froggy? With the babies hands under their chin? This pose/photo should never been attempted without support, and any froggy posed image should be composited in photoshop, no photographer should take their hands completely off of the baby. Supporting the wrists and or weight of the head in this position can protect baby’s delicate wrist bones! 

All of our items are laundered with free & Clear detergent and sanitization occurs immediately after and before each session. 

We also wear mask whenever we are working around your newborns new immune system, and our whole team is fully vaccinated and boosted!

Your comfort- 

-Our studio is clean, warm, and inviting. Our clients spend a good chunk of time there with their babies, so we like it to feel like home!

-We have plenty of diapers and wipes for babies, but what about mom! As doulas- we think of the parents just as much as we think of the babies! A lot of parents come in when they are immediately postpartum- all of your postpartum needs are taken care of. Our bathroom is fully stocked with tucks pads, postpartum pads, peribottles, and milk catchers. 

For you and your partner- we have coffee, tea, water, snacks, and are conveniently located next to a coffee shop if you want a bit more of a bite! Feel free to take a nap on the comfiest couch on the mexican war streets, and use our phone chargers while you kick back and relax within watching distance of the baby!  

Lighting and variety-

We offer professional lighting in a beautiful studio setting, you never have to worry about the weather or if the outdoor lighting will cooperate with us, we won’t have to reschedule due to issues with on-location services when we have our own location. We also try to use different sets, backdrops, and props just for your session, and the vision you have for your family! 

Offering to capture family- 

If you want to extend your family session, no problem- just give us a heads up if you want grandma and grandpa there or other generations, we will make special time during your session to celebrate multiple generations! 

Custom Wall art and Printing Service-

Don’t allow your beautiful pictures to live on your phone, soon to be lost forever in the cloud. You want your family to be displayed and celebrated and we take care of the printing for you. No more fumbling with printing companies, canvas sizes, and color matching services. We can take your favorite images and custom create art just for your space.
